Argyria

Argyria is a very rare complaint where the skin turns a dramatic blue (or bluish-grey).  It is caused by the over consumption of improperly prepared colloidal silver solution.  Most recent cases have been linked to home made colloidal silver using production methods that manufacturers of modern colloidal silver consider to be incorrect.  Relatively large particles of elemental silver are stored under the skin and cannot be removed.  These silver particles then react with sunlight, which causes the blue discoloration, which is believed to permanent.  However, it hoped that laser treatment might be able to help.  

Argyia is not a problem with Modern colloidal silvers which have long since overcome this problem.
